 At Shipload, we are involved in and dedicated to achieving a high-Quality standard for our STS services and Equipment maintenance through the application of the Shipload Management System (QMS) for Safety, Security, Health, Environment & Quality fully aligned to ISO standards, Our QMS is implemented across our organization and verified by independent third-party certification bodies.

 The key to our success is to provide our Customers with the best level of service available, consistent with the high expectations of the STS business.

 We know that the Customer always has a choice so our goal is to remain a Singaporean leading provider of Ship to Ship Transfers, with the active participation of all our Staff and by continuous improvement in all aspects of our operations.

 Quality Objectives have been set and are communicated to all personnel, to focus on the improvement process. All Staff are trained in order to understand the importance of Quality and that it is the responsibility of everyone working for Shipload Maritime Pte Ltd.

 We are committed to comply with all the International and national industry standards and guidelines thus meeting the customer requirements.

ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

 We are committed to maintaining the highest management and operational standards, supported by the use of simple and effective quality, safety and environmental protection working practices.

 We know that the Customer always has a choice so our goal is to remain Singapore’s leading provider of Ship to Ship Transfers, with the active participation of all our Staff and by continuous improvement in all aspects of our operations.

 Environmental Objectives have been set and are communicated to all personnel to focus on ensuring the ongoing protection of the environment. All our Staff understand the importance of protecting the environment and that it is the responsibility of everyone working for Shipload Maritime Pte Ltd.

 We are committed to complying with all industry standards and guidelines as well as national and international requirements in order to ensure we exceed our customer’s requirements.

 Our Environmental Policy and Objectives are reviewed on a regular basis to achieve the “Zero Oil Spill & Hydrocarbon Gas release into the Atmosphere.”

DRUG AND ALCOHOL POLICY

The Company’s Drug and Alcohol Abuse Policy applies to all personnel who may work ashore or sail on or visit the vessels as representative of the Company. It embraces the principles set forth in the Oil Companies International Marine Forum (OCIMF) “Guideline for the control of drugs and alcohol aboard ships.”

 DRUGS

The misuse of legitimate drugs or the use, possession, distribution or sale of illicit or non-prescribed controlled drugs ashore or on board ship by Company personnel is prohibited.

The Company will not employ any persons who are users of or have a recent record of the use of illegal drugs or have abused the use of prescribed drugs. Any employee found in contravention of the Company’s drug policy will be instantly dismissed and handed over to the appropriate authorities for prosecution. All are reminded that in certain countries possession of illegal drugs can result in the DEATH PENALTY.

 ALCOHOL

SHIPLOAD have a strict zero tolerance policy for all Company personnel while representing the Company on board a vessel during STS operations.

Shipload personnel must not consume any alcohol in the twelve hours preceding any planned STS operation in which they are involved.

All employees may be subjected to testing and screening for drugs and alcohol in line with the Vessel operator’s policies. Unannounced random alcohol tests to be carried out on board within 6 months,

 In the event of an incident/accident, Shipload personnel including Sub-Contractor shall undergo mandatory alcohol testing on board the vessel(s) involved in the STS Operations.

HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY

It is a fundamental right to be able to work and earn a living without facing the prospect of being injured or subject to danger, and it is a matter of pride that maximum effort is made to achieve this by the adoption of the following company health and safety policy.

IF THE JOB CANNOT BE DONE SAFELY IT SHALL NOT BE DONE

Positive action will be taken at all times by all levels of management, all employees and all subcontractors to ensure safe working conditions on all jobs, in the offices, on ships, or wherever SHIPLOAD MARITIME employees/subcontractors are required to work.

SHIPLOAD MARITIME ensures that work is performed without undue risk to health and safety by training and supervising all staff, employees and subcontractors in safe working practices towards a zero accident target. Additionally all staff and employees will do their utmost to protect the health and safety of members of the public and other visitors to SHIPLOAD MARITIME facilities and work sites. In addition, we will take all steps necessary to ensure our operations have no detrimental effect on the Marine Environment in which our core operations take place. All staff and employees acknowledge these responsibilities, including safeguarding their own health and safety and that of others in the workplace. Shipload Stop Work Policy is in place (HSE004)

 Any accidents that create hazard or injure anybody, either directly or indirectly, will be immediately reported to a supervisor, first aid attendant or the safety officer. The responsibility then rests with this person to take any immediate action necessary to reduce the hazard and render first aid as necessary. Further investigation will then be undertaken by the safety officer, and any corrective or preventive action necessary to eliminate the hazard taken as appropriate. It is Shipload’s Health and Safety Policy to conform to all statutory and regulatory legislations and obligations.

SECURITY POLICY

Shipload complies with the requirements of the ISPS Code. Port Security Level will be advised by the relevant port operator where STS is carried out and the relevant Security level 1, 2, or 3 shall be communicated to the vessels in the Join Plan Operation doc-Shipload STS Instructions, this information will be sent to the vessels and support craft participating in the STS operation.

It has to be noted that the Tugs and Barge are exempted for complying with ISPS, but as the Tugs/Barge and other equipment and crew are still vulnerable to security threats, and in the interest of safety, an assessment has been put in place. This assessment is intended as a security advisory to assist Tug Master in having a plan to mitigate these threats. Port Security Level will be advised by the relevant port operator where STS is carried out.

NO SMOKING POLICY

SHIPLOAD seeks to provide a clean, safe and healthy environment for its employees and visitors, including safeguarding them from the harmful effects of second-hand smoke

 All employees who smoke are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the ‘Smoking (Prohibition in Certain Places) Act’. It is a criminal offence and punishable by law to violate the act. The full act can be read online.

 The complete list of places where smoking is banned is available on the National Environment Agency (NEA) website.

 It is SHIPLOAD’s policy that employees shall comply with the regulations under the ‘Smoking (Prohibition in Certain Places) Act.

 Smoking in the office is strictly prohibited!

Smoking on board the vessel is only in the Designated Smoking Room.
